The Twelve Steps of Resistance Recessors
- I admitted that I am powerless over Resistance, that my creative life, at least, had become unmanageable.
- Came to believe that a Power greater than myself could restore me to sanity.
- Made a decision to turn my will and my creative life over to the care of my Muse as I understand Her.
- Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of myself.
- Admitted to my Muse, to my self and to another human being the nature of my wrongs.
- Was entirely ready to have my Muse mold and remove all these defects of character.
- Humbly asked Her to remove my shortcomings.
- Made a list of all the works I had harmed and became willing to finish and make amends to all of them.
- Made direct amends to such works whenever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.
- Continued to take personal inventory and when I was wrong promptly admitted it.
- Sought through prayer and meditation to improve my conscious contact with my Muse as I understand Her, praying only for knowledge of Her will for me and my works, and the power to carry that out.
- Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, I tried to carry this message to procrastinators and to practice these principles in all our affairs.
